Looking for a Gaming Laptop

Thread Starter
Hi all,
Long time ago. Right now on a M90. But Im looking a new gaming laptop. My min question is Turion 64 (ML37 or better) vs Core 2 Duo (T7200 or better). This is the main difference between AW Aurora m9700 and New Area 51 m5790. I understand that the Aurora is: Dual 256MB NVidia GeForce™ Go 7900 GS - SLI Enabled and the Area 51 is 256MB ATI Mobility™ Radeon X1900.

The only advnatage of the Area 51 is that the Core 2 Duo allow 4gb or RAM @ 667MHz. Prices:
Area 51: $2400 (Raid 0, 2 gb ram, 17" WideUXGA) Radeon X1900.

Aurora m9700: $2600 (Raid 0, 2 gb ram, 17" WideUXGA) Dual 256MB NVidia GeForce™ Go 7900 GS - SLI in cyborg green

Alsom im looking Sagers, XPS M1710 (T7200, 2GB, 7950GTX) $2614, etc.

Help,
Xat

Then the Turion ML 37 compares to Core 2 Duo T7200?

there are no straight across comparisons that can be drawn by just taking straight across from the configurator.

You can't exactly "pick up" the m9750 because the estimaed ship date is May 28th and usually, systems ship after or on time with the estimate.

believe it or not i had my alienware on my doorstep 2 days before the estimated ship date.... but that is more of an isolated case. usually they are on time. and honestly it still will be and is the best gaming system being sold.
