well I was playing farcry on battery power got down to low and shut off. I plugged in the power supply and booted back up finished playing. I then shut down let it charge over night and next time I booted up the battery said 6% charged. I unplugged the power supply and the laptop shut down, also the charge led flashes orange and sometimes green, now I am waiting for a call from Sager. I hope it is just a bad battery pack I would hate to send this back.

G-Omaha how did you make out, I read your post and just got of the phone with Sager they are cross shipping a new battery. if you take your battery out and the pc will boot on ac power, they said then it is most likely the battery.

Mine works on AC power dispite the winking battery light. I tried contacting them via e-mail. I'm getting ready to call them now.

this power supply only plugs in one way almost fool proof

The 8790's reverted back to the good old "standard plug" rather than that 4-pointer on the 5670's. Can't imagine any way to plug this one in backwards.

I think the real issue is that the batteries can not power the system at "full load" without overheating and then going "bonkers".

We both have 3.4 Northwoods and were accomplishing tasks that would cause the CPU and most likely the GPU to be pegged for an extensive amount of time (over 15/20 minutes).
