IE7 issues

Thread Starter
Hi, just installed Vista this weekend and have come across an issue in IE7 that I hope someone may know how to fix.
Firstly, quite bizarly, tried using onecare safety scanner, in protected mode a warning box comes up saying the ActiveX control has behaved in an unsafe manner, and won't let you any further. I changed to unprotected mode, installed the activex, hit launch scanner and got taken back to the install screen again.
Also noticed that another site I use won't let me get to the login screen, keeps throwing up Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, tho using IE7 on an XP machine causes no problems at all.
Had a quick check on Google and came up with nothing (well not to the untrained eye), anyone got any suggestions?
Would be so much easier if all sites just worked in Firefox, but can't have everything I guess

Firefox with IE Tab (run IE in a firefox tab for those sites you mention), but that doesn't solve your problem

I have the same problem with the login screens when I am trying to login a Hotels or airports wireless sites, the authentication protocol seems to be blocked by IE7.

I gave up trying to figure it out and uninstalled IE7 from my work laptop.
