That spec sheet shows 4 different models in the G1 line... 2 of them have "N/A" optical drives.......... A wise choice? Not in my opinion. Also, it says 2gb RAM will be the max, but with only one expansion slot, that means we have to get the model that has 1gb built in instead of the 512mb version. Of course, with an ULV email@example.com, we probably won't be taking advantage of 2gb RAM anyway. Anything that needs that much memory will be too intense for the processor.
Another question on the spec sheet. It says 0.93-1.00 inches height.... How can you have variable height? I thought it might have been open/closed heights, but I doubt that LCD is .07 inches thick.
Sheet also has a link to pricing, and my guess was very accurate (was talking about this thing with the wife on the freeway yesterday). With the solid state drive, retail price is $2999-3299. My words were something like this: "bla bla bla but with that hard drive, it'll probably cost like $3000."
Sadly, at that price I think I'll keep shopping for an OQO 02 or the newer models of the UX180p design.
Although, it would be super nifty to have an Asus G1 for gaming and a Sony G1 for work...
