T60 Display - help needed

Hello.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 (from the company). The issue is the display resolution. I believe I have a standard T60 with a resolution of 1024x768 (max) instead of a T60p.
My question is: is there anyway to overcome this resolution limitation or is this really something ineherent to the LCD and cannot be overcome?
I ask your support because I'd need a higher resolution (1280x1024 or something similar).

You are basically stuck with the LCD panel's resolution. It's native resolution is as high as it will go.
