Question on buying a gaming PC

I'm wondering if I configured the same exacty system from Ibuypower and Alienware will I see a difference? I mean all those bios settings and stuff like that, does that make a difference in my games and the frame rates I get? I mean cause were talking about a 300 dollar savings. The PC I'd be getting would have the Extreme Edition chips and latest and best video card.

Well a custom configured IBuypower with all the best options they allow with an Alienware Aurora. Both with 3400 proc. and same graphic card and sound cards.

The only difference will be alienware might use a little higher quality parts, and alienwares look better in my opinion.

Yes but will any of these factors make a difference in frame rates when playing a game say UT 2k4 or Half Life 2 to its high's.

There is a good chance that the Alienware will be faster, but only marginally.
