very nice cdd, i'm looking forward to my xps. i've searched here, but how are you overclocking the gpu? do you use a special program? i'm new to the overeclocking business so any help would be appreciated. thanks

That is one hell of a score. Almost as good as desktop systems with 9800 pros in them! Congrats.

That score sounds about right based on the OC numbers Adam was pulling on his 8790. That's crushes anything the 5700 is pulling. Someone should overclock their 5700 to find out the limits on that card. I'll put money it still doesn't come within sniffing distance. Hopefully with the release of the NV40 we'll see some of that technology trickle down to the mobile market.

Powerstrip that comes loaded on the system. It is very easy--just bump clock and memory up in small increments.

cdd, dell preloads powerstrip onto the xps? Is it the free version of powerstrip or a full registered version?

Where can I download powerstrip?

in the software sticky thread in dell general :-p

You can also use radlinker... if you d/l and install the new omega catalyst drivers it's packaged with it. These drivers are great!

I have been impressed w/ the stock dell drivers. I have higher 3d marks w/ them, but performance seems the same as the omegas. I just keep switching back and forth.
