Base System Device ?

I have a G1 with WinXP Pro (SP2)
At bootup I keep getting 2 Found New Hardware "Base System Device" and another "USB Device".
Anyone know what this is?

On my System Base System Device is the Card reader.

i get the USB device message sometimes. it's the web camera. i think it's just a bug that comes and goes.
