I am half way to Cleveland for the weekend and I am tryign to hook up my M1710 with Delorme to my LCD in my car. I have an S-video adapter that makes S-video just the regular yellow RCA cable and my computer doesnt detect anything when I plug it in and I cant get a picture on the TV. WTF if going on here. Should I just go get an S-Video cables? I have the Dell adapter for component video using that port and it works fine. Do I need an adapter for the S-Video to work or something retarded. I thought that port was and S-Video port.

I believe there is a option under tools to force TV detection. have you tried that?

I believe you should press Fn+F8 to have the video on you LCD screen. Do it afteryou have connect the cable to LCD and selected the AV-input in the LCD. It work fine for me.

Wait, you have the S-video > Video adapter, so your trying to use the A/V video to connect to the LCD and it's not working; Or are you trying to connect the S-Video cable directly into an S-Video input on your LCD?

Either way, it should work. Just force the TV detection.

Ok, I just tried this myself with my I9300.

I took the SVideo --> A/V video cable and plugged it into my TV. I then went to the Nvidia Display (right click desktop, Nvidia display) | Laptop Display

Changed nView Display Mode to Dual view, and my TV showed up int he display, and I was able to see the laptop screen on my TV.

I did the exact same steps, without using the SVideo --> A/V Video converter, and it worked the same.

Edit:

You may want to try what was posted above, Force TV detection. In the nvidia control panel, its under Tools. Just check Force TV Detection.
