XTreme-G MobileForce VS 101.70 M6 32-Bit/64-Bit
DOWNLOAD (32-Bit Version) DOWNLOAD (64-Bit Version) OFFICIAL FORUM DISCUSSION Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit/64-Bit Driver Version: 7.15.11.0170 XTreme-G MobileForce Custom INF Version: 6.00.10 Driver Date: 03-22-2007 Driver Size (32-Bit): 35,221,198 bytes Driver Size (64-Bit): 41,600,390 bytes MD5 Hash (32-Bit): 538B388E7550C7631DD247102456FDDD MD5 Hash (64-Bit): CF684A94DC1EFDB956B5F376765FCED4 ---Release Notes--- Well it seems that NVIDIA has finally begun to shell out some decent Vista-based ForceWare drivers, because we have yet another solid release in the new 101.70 ForceWare. What can be said other than this driver seems to be a very solid driver? I'd like to once again extend a thanks to everyone who helps test these MobileForce releases and seek out any (fixable) bugs that are present. We couldn't do it without you. Once again, on behalf of Krayziepop and myself, show those showoff desktop gamers that you really can "play The Game" with your notebook. BOOM!!! HEADSHOT!!! ---Other Information--- If you are updating your driver, please follow the directions in THIS THREAD. If you don't use Driver Cleaner, and whine about problems with the driver not working properly, we're going to ask you to use Driver Cleaner anyways, so please, update your driver properly . . . We will thank you later. Please post RESPONSIBLY!!! We will answer your question as soon as possible. ---Supported Video Devices---

obviously drivercleaner doesn't work...

anyways, I was about to say actually that I abandoned the 101.41's in favor of the 101.7 from laptopvideo2go. I got an increase of 10+fps in CS. I'm still below where I was with XP but I'm catching up. Are the problems from the previous set fixed in this release? I originally abandoned because of the screen changing resolutions when I restarted/went to sleep. I'll def give the new XG's another go around though
post #3 of 13
The problems people were having with the previous release don't have anything to do with the tweaks used in the XG drivers. Most often when you have a problem like that, its related to a driver not being completely wiped out before installing a new one in its place, which since DC doesn't work in Vista (unless you pay for the .net version) you have to completely uninstall the drivers manually before installing the new ones. Also keep in mind, these are BETA drivers from NVidia, actually all of the NV Vista drivers are beta. They haven't laid out a solid timeframe just yet for a final release either. So when problems arise in these driver sets, its not necessarily the fault of the XG tweaks. I have tried myself to reproduce the 'issues' from the previous release and haven't been able to do so. In any case, give em a try and see if they do anything for you and be sure to give us all the details when you do. Just keep an open mind about the fact that the drivers are beta's....

I'm so excited!!! Thanks guys...

Krayzie, can you please reitirate the uninstall/install process in Vista. I know you had it somewhere but I lost the link to it. Thanks...

BTW, maybe you can have that added to the template that Tony uses to post new drivers thread.

BTW, I have been using 3dMark05 to benchmark my machine. What is the diff. betwene 05 and 06? Should I use both?
This is the thread I posted that info in .Poneh http://www.tweaksrus.com/forums/inde...ndpost&p=87229

Use both 3Dmark programs if you like. Remember though, only by trying the games you normally play can you really assess the performance of any particular driver.
As krazie said, 3Dmark scores are just something cool to check out...The real test is actual gaming performance. A lot of times 3DMark scores don't reflect real world gaming performance of a driver.

.Poneh Look at the bottom of this article, you will see some of the changes in 3Dmark 05/06

Ok. Two games which I've noticed pretty good improvement. Everquest 2 and STALKER. I'm impressed with these drivers. I'm able to run in 1610x1050 in high settings in STALKER. Much better than what I used to run.
anyone try these vs original 101.71
I am getting better performance with this driver over the original ones.

BTW, in BF:V, I am only limited to 1280x960 resolution where with the 101.41 I could go all the way up to 1600x1200. This is the only game that I came across that did something like this, any ideas why? This happens even when using the original 101.70s.
installed these and immediately ran CS stress test and got 88fps, which is 3fps over what I got from the originals
post #12 of 13
Well, this is weird. But I discovered that the M6 drivers are the culprit for the random slow downs I've been getting in BF:V. I don't know if it is a temp issue, but my cpu temp doesn't exceed above 60 degrees. I don't know how hot the gpu is getting though. What a shame. I getting almost twice the FPS I get with the original 101.70 drivers until the slow downs.

Another thing, these drivers will cause the music in BF:V not to work. The music works fine during the loading screens, but the vehicle music won't work. I don't know how it is affiliated to the drivers, but its correlation has shown it to be. Any ideas why?

Good drivers, now only 200 points slower on 3dmark vs XP
