No Audio with xb2000 expansion base

I am using the xb2000 expansion base with a HP Pavillion zd8000. The audio works just fine when the laptop is not connected to the expansion base? But I get nothing when it is connected to the expansion base.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Are you running Vista? I got the same problem under Vista and HP was not able to resolve.

I am running XP. I ended up talking to HP about it. It took them a week to get back with me. They said that it is a problem with the laptop, not the expansion base and they would need to look at the laptop to resolve the problem. I never sent it in because my laptop was beyond its warrenty.
