I am having issues charging my Toshiba P25-S526 Notebook. The AC adaptor recently stopped working so I bought a replacement. I was told that the Gateway adapter with part number 9NA1500205 is a compatable charger so that is the one I went with. The day i received the charger I got home, plugged it in and it charged with no problem. The next day, I plug in the ac adapter again and it won't charge at all. At first I was getting a steady flashing orange light with about 2 seconds in between each flash. Now I plug it in and get nothing. I have tried using the adapter with the battery out and the battery in. Both times all I can hear is a static or clicking sound (probabloy the electricity trying to make contact with the battery) but no lights come on and I can't use it at all. Should I be able to use the ac adapter without the battery in? Does this sound like a battery issue or an issue with the ac adapter? Thanks for your response as i am desperate here.
