Sager 9880 Motherboard Replacement

Thread Starter
I've blown my Sager 9880's motherboard? Where can I find a replacement? Please Help! By the way....I've traced this particular replacement for the CLEVO D900T ( https://www.rjtech.com/miva/merchant...INYCART_Ship=1 ). Will this serve the purpose?

Waiting for some right answers from the very smart people out here in these forums.
Yours Sincerely ,

The link you posted points to an empty basket page. If you meant to post this http://www.rjtech.com/miva/merchant...._Code=MB-D900T then yes thats the correct part.

But as others have advised me when mine blew if you are not very experienced in repairing notebooks its best to send your 9880 to Sager for the replacement.

IMHO send it to sager and have it replaced, that way you can get warranty on the MB and have peace of mind on it for a bit.

Unless you have specific experience working on notebooks I would not attempt this repair yourself. And no building towers does not count. Not only is it difficult, but it if not properly done your new mobo will fail shortly after. Not to mention the warranty through Sager or guarantee of work.

OK...u guys have scared me sufficiently....I'll just have it fixed by Sager....I might not even have to get the motherboard replaced...maybe it'll just get fixed....only problem is...I'm in India right now...so I'll just have to hand it over to Sager when I get to the US ( sometime in September ) ... long wait!
Huff...so long w/o my machine...anyway...if that's whats in store for me
Thanx all!

Maybe try looking for a Clevo re-brander in India or somewhere else close by? I don't know any myself but there's bound to be something. It may cost more (or even less) for the repair but i'm just guessing here...

Anyway best of luck to you
