I have a 250 gb Acomdata external hard drive. While I was transfering some files from a friend's desktop to the hard drive, several people said that they accidentally kicked it over when they were walking into the room since it was sitting on the floor. When I connect the hard drive to any computer, the device is recognized but it appears to be full of data. Before the file transfer, I had plenty of free space left, probably around 80 gb or more. My question is, what do I need to do to access my files? The hard drive keeps asking if I want to reinstall the original software (backup software, etc.) but also says that there is not enough free space. On my laptop, it says that the file system is in RAW format and that there is 0 mb used and 0 mb free. It also says that I need to format it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
