unlocking bios

Thread Starter
Hi guys.
I found it very frustrating that I cannot find any solutions for my problem. I cant belive that no one else is having the same problem as I do, or they are not interesting in solving it.

I have FS Amilo pi1505 laptop. When I go in BIOS there is only few settings (boot sequence and a few other basic stuff). What happend with all advance settings, like "shared video memory allocation", and other sh*t.

I read somewhere the FS have locked these settings on purpose.

I cant have this. We cant have this. whats next? who gave them the right to do this.
If I want to mess aroud BIOS and crash/burn or destroy it, it is my problem. They just have to repair it if I do
I bought PC not MAC, and that means I want CONTROL over my computer.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem. please help....

Thanks

ramirezz vbmenu_register("postmenu_2612500", true); I agree completely, I have a G4 and yes, they do do everything for you and hide almost everything from the user, but you agree to that when you buy a Mac, full stop. I can see the logic behind hiding advanced settings of the bios but, so they dont have to make repairs etc. But the chances are if you want to access the Bios then you know what youre doing, and an advanced pc user. I need to access it to overclock my fan, how do I do this? I cant, because siemens decided to let me laptop overheat before the fan kicks in. Very annoying, Im not impressed with Siemens on this one.

Have you tried removing the batteries from the bios? That might invlove you in dismantling your pc. It has worked for me on some Sony and Fujitsu models. Might work for you.
