dell 8500 rumor

this was posted on dell website today:




I just spoke to a very reliable source and the 8500 has an ETA of 3/25/03.

Here is what I got out of him:

7 lbs starting out

2.5 GHz P4-M maximum

You also have the option of P-M

GeForce4 4200Go

You also have the option of M9

USB 2.0 (Obvious)

Bluetooth and Other Wireless technology

15.4" Widescreen

Maximum resolution screen will have 1920x1200

You also have the option of 1680x(some number I forgot)

Still using 400MHz system bus

I forgot all the other questions, sorry.

It's a pretty decent upgrade but nothing surprising in that list.

bluetooth is overrated IMHO.

heh, well at least its USB 2.0, but the FSB is still at 400? Not bad, still. If they can keep it under 1800, then it'd kick butt, esp for 2.5 ghz p4-m.
