Powerbook power inside clamshell?

Is there any way someone could like custom make a apple laptop- Like put all the components, EVERYTHING like the fans as well, from like an ibook or even powerbook? Is this even possible- this must have been tried lol the clamshell looks so good but then again what is the screen like?
Would it just not be worth if for anyone; Apple should have kept the clamshell going.

Just pure curiosity lol

The enclosures are much too small for the new motherboards and such.

i mean if you like the style, just get a cheap clamshell, im sure it would cut it for web browsing and maybe some starcraft
