help needed - Lenovo n100 3000 fingerprint problems

Thread Starter
Hi,
I bought a new Lenovo notebook less then a month ago. Sometimes, after resuming from sleep mode or even restart, I get a messege from OmniPass that the fingerprint device is not present.
Sometimes I have to make several restarts until it finally gets back.

Im running Windows Vista Premium (32bit).

What can I do about this? I couldn't find any information regarding such problem on other web sites.

Is this a hardware failiure or software related error?

Kind Regards and thanks in advance!!!

No there is no such option... Right now i signed out from Omnipass and I still get on the log on screen fingerprint reader?!?! And as far as I'm concerned there souldn't be somthin like that... I think it's a great software package but there is NO F****N MANUAL!!! Thera is a Lenovo support page but it is easyer to jump from 10 store building than find smth there...yesterday i downloaded 625 pg manual for Rescue and Recovery software....

The problem is with Vista. I had a z61m that started it's life with XP Pro and when I installed Vista Business on it, the fingerprint reader wouldn't work properly. I had to uninstall it a couple of times and go to the download section for the z61m and re-install the drivers, software etc. I got it to work properly after that however...

I'll try to find drivers for the finger print reader and install it all over again...tha bad news is that I cohse this model cause it had higher level of protection..
