100 m Bluetooth in our notebooks?

The Bluetooth module in the 9x00s is located at USB 0.
It's also a 30 m range.
What would happen if I gutted a USB Bluetooth dongle that had a 100 m range, and stuck the guts in where the Truemobile BT module is supposed to go?

It would need to be connected to another class 1 device.

class 1 BT has a max range of 100M
class 2 has a max range of 10M
