MP8708 and Intel video question

Thread Starter
I have an MP8708 and I have updated the integrated video drivers and still notice under the power settings everything is greyed out with no ability to change anything. I would really like to make it so the screen doesn't dim when on battery power. I usually use it on the porch in the AM when reading with my coffee so it's not a power concern and it's just annoying. Anyone know how to get around this or why that part of the driver is unavailable?

Regards,
Nandro

I went and looked the setting for my laptop, and saw essentially the thing. I assume you are looking at the Intel graphics properties settings menu you get when you right click on the desktop.

From the Desktop right click menu, Under the Graphics Properties/Display Settings/Power Settings, everything is grayed out, and mine says it is running on bettery power when it clearly is not!

Looks like a software glitch, or perhaps something to do wit hthe faac that the video card is in a laptop. I tired other power settings from the Control Panel, but could not get the Intel properties to show anything other than grayed out and on battery... Go figure!

P.S.: You can use the Fn key + the UP or Down arrows to change the Brightness. You can also Use the Fn key + F8 to change the brightness.

Hope all of that helps!
