You've all been great, and I've learned quite a bit in my short time here. I really look forward to the day I place my order (Hopefully I'll sleep better after that, but bah, that's wishful thinking!). Even more, I look forward to the day where that big black black (well, brown, but black on the inside..) box shows up at my door. Again, thank you all. I've got nothing but good feedback from all of you!

That's a killer setup man! I hope all goes well and you can place your order on time
BTW, just a friendly warning. You will not get more sleep after you place your order. It'll get worse and worse till the day your notebook arrives. I memorized my order an hour after I recieved it. Lets see how long it'll take you. Anyways good luck man! You're going to LOVE it.

Heh, thanks! On a side note.. I forgot a lucky ninja.. I think it'd be bad luck to edit one in now, but hey, maybe it doesn't count 'cause I haven't really ordered yet...

So here's one now.

And as far as my sleep goes.. I THINK I'll sleep well after I place the order (just cause I know it's actually being built/processed/shipped/etc.), but yeah, it'll go downhill from there.

Decided to order online =P Dunno why, but I don't think it will matter much.

Curently: Phase 2

Such a gem.... I really want a m5790! but i have to wait till june...

im getting the same standard configuration, except i will order it with 2ghz core 2 duo, so later ill only need to upgrade the ram and HDD. hopefully the next set of video cards fit on the same MXM module as this machine, so we can upgrade. if not, ill upgrade to the X1900

Congrats on Phase 2 man! Phases 3 and 4 are the slowest of all. After that it'll be smooth sailing all the way to your front door.

PHASE 5!! My God, that was quick!

Yes, 4/25, the day after I ordered, my system is already being assembled!

It's bound to get here before the estimated ship date at this rate...
Impressive. I can only hope to have somewhere close to the same luck.

I was thinking I'd have to wait like three weeks, but at this rate, well.. I won't get too expectant, anything could happen now.
Congrats on the machine! The phases are going by really fast for you! If I may ask this, why did you drop the 2.0 ghz CPU?

To get the three year warranty. It's all complicated, but it came out to be the same price as my initial configuration with the 1-year warranty.

So instead of upgrading my warranty later on (which is no longer available seeing how the 5790 was discontinued.. today), I'll upgrade the processor. I can take three months of lesser performance, and when I get some money, I'll send it back to AW and pay for the upgrade, which would be the same or even less than the upgrade of an extended warranty would have been.

If that makes any sense, well, then I'm glad you understand. I'm very happy with my system, and what's most important to me is that I will have three years peace of mind with this system, no matter what.

Phase 8 today!

is this normal!? Only two days since I ordered, and this thing is probably gonna ship tomorrow!

I must say I am amazed and pleased with the speed and consistent updates to the Phases.
Wow. Now that's a fast order! It will be in your hands before you know it.

My m5500 took 12 days to get to me from the time I ordered it, and I think that you'll beat that by a large margin especially since it's been discontinued.
