That will come soon enough. I remember when I got the tracking number- It seemed like it took an eternity for the m5500 to arrive, when in reality it was only 5 days.

Still no tracking number.. is there a number I can call? The one on the site says it's closed on weekends. Bah, I can wait... It'll probably get here before they reply, seeing how they said they would in 72 hours x.x

I'd love to see the voyage of my lappy, but maybe the surprise of not knowing will be better!

After calling tech support (I know it's not the right number, but they were the only ones who would pick up..) they said that since I hadn't received a tracking number yet, my system is most likely still at AW, in the shipping department, and that department was closed yesterday.. and today. So I'm a bit disappointed. Not at the fact that my laptop will STILL easily beat the estimated shipping date, but rather at the misinformation presented to me via the website. I'd be much happier if it still said Phase 8, prepping for shipping. I suppose I had to have one hiccup throughout the process, and I'm glad it was a small one. I'll be expecting my lappy on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. =D

Yeah. I was really upset at first, seeing how if it shipped on Friday.. well, it woulda been perfect basically. But I'll live.. *sniffle* ...somehow.

I still can't believe that I'm about to get one of these.. it's literally been a dream for.. well, at least 5-6 years.. can't wait to see those alien eyes staring back.

It is pretty awesome having an AW. I talked it over with MbWife, and we'll let her have the m5500 and I'll be looking into getting an AW for myself. I'll probably get an m5550, but after discussing the situation a little more, it might get bumped up to a m9750 if we give my desktop away to her daughter.

I love my m5500, but I'm ready to get another one for myself. MbWife has taken over the m5500 and made it hers, so it's my turn to get one of my own.

Okay.. it ACTUALLY shipped today. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised with a big black box today, but I was ALMOST as pleased when I saw AW gave me a free upgrade to 2-day shipping! Thanks, folks! Should be expecting this puppy on Wednesday if all goes to plan. This will be the longest two days ever..

Congrats! I think Alienware turned its game around, or we just happened to place orders at exactly the right time. I am currently willing to accept the former, and reinstill my faith in AW.
