Wireless Help Needed (Pre Sale)

Thread Starter
I am interested in buying a 5660. I know it has an internal antenna for 802.11(x) networking and a mini PCI slot.

Here's the question: Can I put an 802.11g card in this slot today? I can't find a mini PCI "G" card on the D-Link, Linksys, or Belkin web sites. I don't want a PC-Card 802.11g adapter because I want to keep that slot free.

Does anyone know of someone who sells a mini PCI 802.11g card?

Can I put the Apple Mini PCI card into a Sager? (This is not a dumb question - I've swapped PCI cards between macs and PCs before.)

If I wait but buy the Sager now, how hard is it for me to instal the card myself?

And does Sager have any plans for integrated bluetooth?

Thanks in advance...

There are no MiniPCI 802.11G card available that I know of. You can only get them in the PCMCIA cards which we have on our site in the 5660 and 888X system builders. They are backwards compatible with the 802.11b. We don't have the Access points in stock yet or we'd have them up also. The best choice in my opinion is the integrated 802.11b wireless since it's built in and out of the way.

I don't know if an Apply card would be compatible, but I wouldn't try it.

The new Sager 4020 has the Bluetooth, but it has shared video.
