Does anybody know a recent link for downloading of Getthermal? I really need it.

It seemed my temp sensors have failed and not reading correct values so the fans don't turn on hence
making my sager notebook turn off. Need getthermal to start the fan manually.

google and other publish links are dead, it is an illusive software. If anybody have it can you PM me please

Thanks in advance.

If you have the S8 firmware or higher you won't need Get Thermal. The S8 firmware has the optional fans 2 full speed. FN+F2 would activate it.

Can I get an email of this GETTHERMAL?

I've had mine since ~2004 and for the last ~few months I've noticed the random shutdowns... EVEN barely after I start it... on a very cold winter day in a very cold office... while running CAD (Unigraphics).

It just shuts down right quick and the fan continues to whir away.

Normally I start it up no problem, but today I had to let it sit for an hour or more before it would actually stay on... as the first 3 attempts had it shutting down with 10 minutes or less again.

I've read several threads so far and don't really know what to do other than the fan setting. I've always recognized the heat generation, so about 1 year into use, I had started jacking up the front of the laptop to get more airflow, since the gap below the laptop is so small. In the summer I even put a large bottom glass of ICE water on the hand rest surfaces to help absorb heat. Maybe this is why mine has lasted this long?

You'd think for $3600 of PC it would last say... 10 years with no hardware issues?

Sorry mate my hard drive failed and most of my stuff disappeared along with this. But i found it again just now on the LaptopVideo2Go forums here: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/...showtopic=8134 . Next time google for it.

About your apparent overheating, have you ever cleaned your machine? I clean mine about once every month or two to get all the dust and fuzz out. Maybe you should try that too.
