Very Nice!!! you took some awesome pics, and it definitely looks like a really awesome notebook. Do you like it so far? are you still happy with it? my sister in law is looking, and thats exactly what i was thinking of recommending to her. I have an HP dv5020us and i like my hp, so i thought about recommending exactly what you bought. any complaints?

hi
thank you for the comment... no complaints- its a nice notebook, and vista seems to work nicely.. i have the quanta display, and looks very nice... sort of wish the resolutiion might be a bit better, but seems like a lot of 15.4 notebooks have the 1280x800 . the outside shows fingerprints easily, so i wash my hands before touching. hp sends a cloth to clean the outside.,... its a nice laptop, at least i am happy with it.....

hey nice pics! this was one of the notebooks i was looking at to bring to college next year. however i went to best buy today and tried it out and i found that the trackpad was really warm and it was hard to drag my finger across it to get the arrow across the screen (too glossy and making too much friction, perhaps)...my finger actually kind of hurt by the time i was finished playing with it. anyway, my point is, have you found this to be a problem for you as well?

well, i use a mouse all the time,,, and if i was to use it in college, i would get a logetich usb wireless mouse. the touchpad , i just don,t use it... i have found out the only place were i notice some warmth, is under the hard drive on the back....but most laptops get warm there.. .i really like this notebook, the screen i have is made by quantum, and it looks very good. going to best buy, and places like that to check things out is great, gives ya a first hand look at what ya might be interested in..if you don,t like the dv6000t, might look into the dell inspiron 6400 or 1505, ,they are nice and are not that expensive.. if you got lots of $, look at the vxi asus, its very nice, but costs.

I have a dv6000t too. The notebook performs really well and the 2 gb of ram comes in handy when it comes to gaming. So far I don't have any complaints for this except for the volume control but its not a problem for me

Guys,

i hope you all can help me out here.

i also purchased a DV6000t, but since i'm outside USA, HP will not be able to send me the recovery disc set.

can someone upload a copy for my download or send me a duplicate of the disc? i am willing to pay for the shipping charges.

FYI, the disc can be obtained from HP free. just need to request from the HP website & have a USA address.

thanks!
