Here's the whole story...This was purchased at Best Buy about 2 yrs ago. In October, the Mobo crashed and fried the CPU. Best Buy now uses Geek Squad for repairs...I have a lot of bad to say about them too
. Anyway when I got the NB back after 2 1/2 months the WLAN card didn't work. I did purchase the extended warranty. Called Geeks, said to call Emachines, did. Said I had to show proof of warranty, did. EM said that this warranty was up to Geeks. That is where I am right now, my daughter needs this LT for school and I don't want to tie it up for another 2 months.
Tried uninstalling the card and reinstalling it (software) didn't work, tried your driver and some others, didn't work. Tried the drivers on the restore disk, didn't work.... Don't know enough about the registry to try it without guidance. If you have any other suggestions, I'd be willing to try them---if not, I guess it is another trip to Geeks.
