Having a spot of trouble with my 8210 under winXP Pro:
ATI Drivers from Acer euro FTP site ver. 8.231
Basically, Fn+F5 does nothing. Ever. Fn+F6 works fine.
I'd like to make the external monitor the primary. No can do. An attempt to run the most recent catalyst drivers resulted in a lot of screen blinking, like something else was trying to grab control of the display. Still could never do anything other than extned the desktop on to the external monitor, which I can do, just not switch which one (laptop or external monitor) is primary.
Also, any instances of ati2evxx.exe in task manager seem to sporadically spike the CPU loading, making basic day to day tasks unpleasant. Somehow, I think that the two problems are related.
Any insight into the correct combination of drivers, control panels, settings, and MSconfig configuration would be greatly appreciated.
