I will be buying some high performance memory, try to get the most out of her

This will be the first machine I try to keep Vista on, can’t count the amount of times I’v uninstalled it already… Oh boy! I will have to upgrade to Vista Business, but not yet.

I’m very excited about this one!!
Key factors in this purchase are mobility, performance, and quality.


So the m5550 fit like a glove!

Mobility: 15.4” LCD, 6lbs

Performance: the Nvidia Geforce GO 7600 benchmarks look good. Next step up and you're in the 79xx series.

Quality: UXGA screen. only other vendor I know selling one is Dell Latitude D820 15.4” and they only offer the Nvidia Quadro NVS 120m 512, No thanks.

So, nothing out there even came close. You may find a 15.4” SXGA notebook with similar hardware, but SXGA… close, but no thanks!

Anything smaller is still at XGA, I was seriously thinking of going ultra portable, with the Dell XPS m1210 12.1” (what happened to the AW 12” series?) But the benchmarks on the Go 7400 will not do…

Cant wait!!!!!

Now who’s taking bets? My estimated ship date is 5-14.

holy crap, Phase 8 already, i ordered this at like 11:30pm on friday 5-4 so my order was not even processed untill yesterday, and the next day i'm in phase 8?! wow AW has really improved on their processing/build times, go AW go!
