Tried Installing BIOS Update for Vista, Lappy Now Jacked

i tried installing vista on my ferrari 4005 wlmi today using the files given on the acer website for this expressed purpose. i went ahead and tried installing the BIOS update, but once i did this, i got a "cannot find the driver" message. having never flashed a bios before, i didn't think anything of this and tried to restart the system thinking it was just another error.

but once i did this, the computer wouldn't shutdown to restart and it wouldn't hard shutdown either. i ended up pulling the battery. i tried booting up the system now, but i only get a blank screen. i hear the fan and hdd spinning when i try and boot up like it's going to start, but the system indicator light only flashes a couple of times and then dies as well.

any ideas on what happened? i'm thinking the bios flashing program is jacked and in turn up my computer. i tried futilely pressed F2 while attempting to boot up, but that's not doing anything.

anyone know how to reset the motherboard so i can get the old bios back? any other suggestions/ideas on how to fix this? thanks in advance.

Send it to Acer. The bios is bricked and won't post. They have to replace the motherboard.
