recovery disk and product key?

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I purchased a refurbished dv6000t through Costco and I'm preparing for a clean install of the OS. I created the recovery disk from the software on the computer. Ok, so here's my question/problem, when re-installing the OS will I be prompted for the XP product key? The problem is that the XP sticker on the notebook is for "XP Media Edition 2005", but when I check System Properties it shows that " XP Media Edition 2002 SP2" is installed on this computer.

This is the proper version. It is reporting the XP version when it refers to 2002. My laptop has the same OS: XP Pro/Media Center 2005.

Thanks cecrowder. I was under the impression that MCE 2005 was built on XP home and the previous was on XP pro. Either way, I ran a program to get the product key that is listed in the current program.
