New travelmate 2480 had a doa Vista load. No support cd's come with the laptop.
I loaded a copy of win 2000 pro, which is fine for my intended use of the laptop.
Now I need drivers for the lan.
I've searched the acer web site (what a joke) and down loaded what was offered.
Win 2000 wanted no part of it.
I looked at the links noted by aspire in a thread below. I down loaded lots of driver files, but alas,
win 2000 wanted no part of them either.
I have run a couple of programs to try to find out what my lan hardware is, with no luck.
Acer doesn't give a clue as to what hardware the lan is.
Could someone please send me in a better direction?
I would like to be able to use the lan connection.

Oh, I did send acer an email about the registration not working and the laptop OS being doa.
