Cool, They dont have the 6400 on the site any more

The 6400 is sold as the E1505 under home and home office now. It's still the 6400 when you order it from small business.

how long does it take for your new system to show up under my orders?

I got my I8600 replaced, it took a week to know what system I am getting and another week for it to arrive. But the times will vary depending on the availibilty of a similar system to the one you got.

You may also get a E1705 even though you got a 15 inch screen. I got a E1705 and I only had an I8600.

Good luck on the new laptop

they sent me a DOA 1505 I called back in and wanted an exchange they said they would set it up and I told them after all the hell they had given me i wanted an 1710 they said fine.. and gave me a bogus dispatch number

I call back in and there is no record of it anywhere

Okay, first of all, swindling Dell for a replacement that isn't totally in the same league is illegal, so I don't sympathize with your current situation. Ask for the same model again and be happy with it, if they give you an upgrade, cool. Don't push it.

Yea, just get what they give you. I got lucky and got a 1705, with the X1400. Why try to push one's luck? I just upgraded my video card and Hard drive and now I am happy with my new system.

Ask politely for a replacement for the DOA 1505, and don't state what model you want. You may get lucky or you may get a similar system as the DOA 1505.

As long as Dell sends you an equal or better laptop, there isn't much you can do.
