It's both good and bad that Dell sucks up the latest in hardware. I really do want a 200GB 7200rpm notebook drive now!

|I have purchased the 200gb 7200rpm Hitachi drive but I have yet to find out how this bulk data encryption thing works. I have tried several different searches through google and hitachi's website but have yet to find out how to turn on or off the encryption and as to setting up the password. If anyone has one of these and could shed some light on the situation for me that would be great.|
I sent an e-mail to hitachi to see if they could help me out and this is the response I got. I will try it when I get home and see what happens.
Thank you for contacting Hitachi Global Storage Technologies.
The bulk data encryption is enabled by setting a system password in the BIOS which will in turn activate the encryption on the drive.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
