I have a IBM G40 thinkpad. It shows a yellow charge LED when you connect the PSU cord. Once you hit the power on button the AC green LED flashes on like it wants to boot up. The cooling fan pulses for a second, however, nothing happens after that. The LCD screen is always black and I can't get to the BIOS.

Does this sound like the problem you are having?
Thanks,
Matt
