Weird problem with m5550

When I safely remove my thumb drive or my ext. hard drive from my laptop it disconnects my wireless card. System hardware shows the exclamation point and rebooting corrects it.

Anyone else have similar issues?

If you are referring to the USB port on the right side of the system, yes i have the same issue. Best i remember it's always done that. A reboot fixes it. It's never been a big deal to me since the ones on the left always work correctly.

Kind of a pain if you ask me. I always have wireless going and usually have things plugged into all USBs. I guess I will be shopping for a powered mini hub, next.

I will probably will do that soon, but I am on a road trip cant take the time right now. Plus it will most likely end in a trip back, and I can't afford that either.

Latest BIOS (2.07) seems to have fixed this issue as well as others. Also allows 4GB RAM.

Contact AW Tech Support before updating the BIOS to keep your warranty in good standing. Easy as pie.
