was able to get all the drivers from here the following website
http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acerdr...TOKEN=89195910

and from the preceding posts.

BTW I was able to get the network card going from the instructions that babyfacedavid post #20 gave me. I used the drivers from the above site as the euro drivers did not work. Thanks again.

Yeah the site is good but what driver should i download for the lan card? (i mean, what is the name? i see for WLAN,and Modem) And those are for Vista, can i use them on my XP?

The driver that worked for me is the 10/100 lan 8.55 ... at the ACER forum. In order to make it work for the lan, not wireless, I had to unzip on my hme computer and then burn the files onto a cd so that it could see them. Until then the add hardware would not find them either inMy docs or on the usb key I was using. Good luck.

kk ppl,i managed to get it work,(for aspire 5520g) i just downloaded the nforce chipset driver for win xp,(on the site provided by 7bradley)(thx).So because the lan card is integrated in the chipset, the driver for nforce contains the driver for the lan card.

Go to http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and look at your computer profile. It is free and safe and will tell you quite a bit about your computer.

How to switch to XP Pro

I have an Acer 3680 with Vista.

Can anyone give a quick step by step on how to Switch from Vista to XP professional?

I would like an idea of how to go about it before I start.

Thanks!

. Put in the XP installation disk and start the setup
. Read the whole thread for "where" to get the appropriate XP drivers and install them

cheers ...

Wow that's it?!?!?!?!

That will wipe out Vista and install XP?

You know you dream things can be that easy...yet when they actually are, it's surprising!

THANKS!!!!!
