Far Cry and the Radeon 9000

Help!!! I have been attempting to play Far Cry on the 9000. It will play great until a helicopter appears on the screen or when I try to hang glide. During those two events the screen will freeze and continue in slow motion like I was turning the page in a book....really slow. I am playing everything on as low as possible and I have updated my video driver as of January. Any of you 8886/8887 gurus have any words of wisdom for me. Thanx.

probabley nothing you can do about it, you need a better card

I wanted to upgrade to the 9600 but $800 bucks.......OUCH!!!!!
