M1210 Bluetooth (install)

Hello,
I didnt purchase a bluetooth card with M1210 when i originally got it, but now i have a PPC/PDA and will soon get a bluetooth enabled mobile i bought a bluetooth card from dell store. Before i recieve it in the post i want to get my facts straight, here are my questions:

*Will i have to have any drivers/programs installed before i plug in the chip (if so can u please give me names/links)
*Is there any special procedure in installing a bluetooth chip, if i do it incorrectly will it stuff up (i looked in the manual and elsewhere and could only find physical/manual installation)?
*Any thing else i should be aware of?

Many thanks for any info provided

(also i ordered a DVD burner drive and is there anything i should be aware of concerning upgrading from a CD burner drive?, again many thanks for any info)

Thnx, Alexander S.

You can get the bluetooth 355 module from dell for around 25 bucks. You will NOT have the drivers preinstalled, but do yourself a favor and stay away from widcomm, they are the best bluetooth drivers in the way of functionality, but they mess up the M1210's booting process... (i can only confirm this if you have the A/V package) so after u get the module just plug it in underneath the battery and XP will automatically install drivers for it.

oh i see... well if u install the widcomm drivers and experience any boot problems, they are causing it... just FYI

What kind of boot problems?
I have the A/V package and am using the Widcomm drivers with no problems whatsoever.

the ones where it takes too long to boot, and sometimes doesnt at all and u have to go into safe mode to get it to do anything... it usually only does it if u have the a/v package and a program such as alcohol or daemon tools to mount images... either way mine and my buddies M1210 both did it until we removed the widcomm drivers and found perfect boots and faster shut downs without them.
