XP downgrade

Hey, I have an Aspire 5610z w/ Vista. Some drivers have not been upgraded for Vista yet and I am unable to use my midi connectors for music creation. Considering down grading back to XP (which worked perfectly). Can you give me pros and cons to this?

Sure, just wipe it and reinstall XP. Of course, you need the XP disc and a valid license.. you couldn't use the Vista license. You'd have to reinstall your drivers (available from the Acer website) and software too.

Really, you lose out of Vista's DirectX 10 support (its a Vista exlcusive). But I doubt you'd expect to play the latest games on it anyway
