So I know it is an issue with my graphics card that is causing my computer to be unable to play DVD's full screen but MPEGs and other video files on my hard drive work fine. I want to know why, it makes absolutely no sense that a GFX card would interpret the data from these sources differently OR that if a DVD can play at a smaller resolution it cant at a bigger.

Whats even more frustrating is that I can manually expand WMP to within pixels of the full-screen size but as soon as i click the full screen button.....nadda.

Currently I couldn't care less, and I am almost 100% sure a new driver for my ATI 9600 will fix this problem just fine.

Its just that I am so curious as to why there is this problem.

anyone give me an explanation?
