Nec E6210 Pcmcia

Hi,

i own a NEC E6210 laptop, and i just bought the audigy 2 PCMCIA sound card but it seems to not fit into my pcmcia slot.
from the nec spec, it says type II. is there any differences among the type 1/2/3 ? i thought type II is the standard today, and therefore my audigy 2 should fit into it.

it appears though from the slot, that it's not the regular rectangular shape (pin-wise), number of pins is around half the standard ones. is it true or am i missing something here?

pls advice.

It's most likely NOT a PCMCIA slot. It's probably an Expresscard slot.

yea you're right, now that you've mentioned it, i realise the two kinds cardbus and expresscard.
