I can't find the post where I recomended using acronis 9 for vista backup

Hit a problem here, yes it does work fine in doing backups but it fkd up the shadow copy service, so I can no longer use system restore

I got acronis version 10 to load up which apparently is compatible, anyone using it under vista yet?

BUT it looks like I am going to have to bite the bullet and reinstall vista to get system restore working again. Shoot.

If you' re using a Vista compatible version of TA-10 ,then you really don't need the System Restore in Windows..........why would you what both? as TA-10 is a better program than System Restore, I use Norton Ghost 2003, and I have system Restore disabled (I don't use it at all) it uses up too much hard drive space by making restore points, why don't you just backup your whole hard drive with a TA-10 Image (using a external USB HD or a set of DVD's) and make whatever (DVD's or External drive) bootable, and just restore your PC that way?............... just my 2 cents?

Yeah, I'm pissed-off about Vista Ultimate's Complete PC Backup not working and after 4 months I still have this problem, even a Clean install didn't Fixed that problem for me, I still get an error message while trying to use this feature, I just gave up, and use Norton Ghost 2003 instead

I uninstalled acronis 9 and installed acronis 10. All is good, no more error messages unless I try and use system restore. So no reload for me, happy.
