Hi everybody! I have a problem with my Aspire 5100. I want to use the Bluetooth but the laptop doesn't have any driver setted up on it, so I downloaded them from the Acer website, but they doesn't work: when I try to enable the bluetooth with the switch button on my laptop I read in my screen "No Bluetooth device".

??

If someone can help me I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

You don't have bluetooth installed, simple as that. Even tho you have a button on the front for BT, that doesn't mean you actually have it. This is because Acer uses a standard chassis for all it's models, but not all of the models come with every option.

"No Bluetooth Device" means No Bluetooth Device. Buy a bluetooth USB dongle for about $10. Look for sales. I've seen people on the forum wanting to get the bluetooth module for this laptop and go through the grief of installing- well, power to them, but unless you're gonna use it constantly. the external dongle would be your smartest (easiest & cheapest) move.

I'm in the same position, I want the internal BT card. Every dongle I have had has been a pain on both the hardware and software side (profiles go missing, dongle is placed where it gets knocked out, etc.). I have a Sony T250 with internal BT and it is fantastic! For me it is well worth the pain to get internal BT. I am going to search the forum, but if you know of a internal BT module source for the Aspire 5100-5840 (BL-51), please e-mail me or post. Thanks.
