How to reset tcp/ip stack?

I've had some problems connecting to the net through my Belkin wireless router. After their support had tried changing settings and connecting through a static IP, I was advised to contact my laptop manufacturer to reset the tcp/ip stack.

I have an out of warranty XPS Gen2 with 2200BG network adapter and an under warranty Rock Pegasus 330 with 3945ABG adapter, neither of which can connect through the router (wired or wireless).

I think this may be a MS related problem, can anyone advise me how to reset the stack?

Do I really need to go to each manufacturer, is there a universal fix, or do you know the Dell fix?

Is there anyway you can try different router? Wireless routers can go bad in time. My linksys died after 2-3 years in the past.

In case this is of any use to others, I found a fix on Microsoft Support site. The solution proved to be a lot easier than I thought.
