Vista time synchronization error

I wonder if anyone else has this issue. I have Vista Business on E1705. After the recent repair, I reinstalled Vista. Now the time is always 1 hour behind, even when I try to synchronize with the time servers (I tried all of them) manually.

I tried changing the timezone (which is set correctly at pacific time zone) and synchronize, but with no help. It says it has updated successfully, but the time set is an hour behind. Date is correctly set to 5/22/2007, so it can't be a daylight saving issue either.

I don't remember having this issue before and all that support guy did was change the video card. Has anyone else experienced anything like this ? Those servers could also have some issues because my desktop running XP can't synchronize with them at all.

Here's what you do. Change the clock manually in correct time zone, and click apply, and ok. Go back to sync panel, and click syncronize, and it should sync.

I tried this. After I set the clock to 2:30PM PST (correct time/zone), I clicked update, and it reset the clock to 1:30PM PST

I think my computer is either sending or receiving wrong timezone. Now that's an annoyance

Hmn. That is strange. From my experience, whenever I opened up my lappy, and disconntected the back up battery, the date/time would be way off when I close it back and boot up. The time won't sync if they are way off from real time. Solution I found was what I mentioned above. I would definately recheck the time zone, time, and date (you've prolly done it, but try again until you get it to right time).

Did play with task manager/services by the way? If that's the case, I couldn't help you unless you default it back.

I didn't do anything but install Vista I found it, it was a stupid checkbox (automatically adjust for day light savings time) that I forgot to tick What a nightmare and I am really ashamed
