Advice about Asus Laptop F3Jp-AP062U

Hi,

I want to get a new laptop and I came across a a nice ASUS and wanted advice and recommendations on it.

What I will be using it for is for general use such as word processing/photoshop/web browsing/websites. But also to play games especially World of Warcraft.

Key Specs

1. Asus Laptop F3Jp-AP062U (£800 incl delivery)
Display : 15.4" TFT (WXGA, Colour-Shine)
CPU : Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.00GHz)
Hard Drive : 160GB S-ATA (5400RPM)
Memory Supplied : 1 x 1GB DDR2 667
Operation System : Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate
Graphics Chipset : ATI Mobility Radeon X1700
Graphics Memory : HyperMemory 256MB Supporting 512MB


What do you guys think.

It should work fine in general, although since it's running Vista, it wouldn't hurt to add another GB of RAM. It should run WoW with no problems

Yeah, adding another gig of ram would be very wise. I'm posting this on a brand new f3jp from newegg and I love this thing. Make sure you update the video card drivers as well. Unfortunately this can be a pain, but i used this tool and it helped greatly. It runs Half Life 2 and Counter Strike: Source at high settings like they are Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man.

Well i bought this laptop last tuesday, arrived this thursday. The hard disk has died already.

Im trying to decide whether to contact asus or ebuyer about the faulty hard disk. Other than that it worked perfectly well.

it's Asus' problem- talk to them and they'll replace it.
