Fahrenheit to Celsius:
*Note: all calculations are either rounded up or down for whole numbers. (F-32) * 5 / 9 = Degrees Celsius
Here's an example. Let's say you wanted to convert 75 degrees Fahrenheit into degrees Celsius. The letter F in the equation will equal your Fahrenheit number (56).
Step 1: Subtract 32 from F:
75 - 32 = 43
Step 2: Multiply 43 by 5:
43 * 5 = 215
Step 3: Divide 215 by 9:
215 / 9 =24 degrees Celsius
Celsius to Fahrenheit:
*Note: all calculations are either rounded up or down for whole numbers.
(C*9) / 5 + 32= Degrees Fahrenheit
Here's an example. Let's say you wanted to convert 24 degrees Celsius into degrees Fahrenheit. The letter C in the equation will equal your Celsius number (24).
Step 1: Multiply C by 9:
24 * 9 = 216
Step 2: Divide 216 by 5:
216 / 5 = 43
Step 3: Add 32 to 43:
43 + 32 = 75 degrees Fahrenheit
