Hi, I just recently reformated my dv2000 with a Windows XP cd because i didn't have a recovery cd and I needed to clean it. Now, Since I've done that. I am unable to hear any sound, aswell as acces the internet whether it be wireless or modem. Is there anyone who can help me with this problem.

Go to HP's website and get, at a minimum, the following:
1) Chipset drivers
2) Audio drivers

You should have archived the driver's folder (SWsetup) before you nuked the drive (assuming it had Windows XP previously).

I had the same problem when I went from Vista back to XP The sound drivers on Hp's site do not work for XP. Lucky for me and you I had the recovery disk from and XP ver. Drivers in there worked for me. PM me and I'll find a way to get them to you.
