Congrats Bautile. Hope you enjoy it.

I agree with you on the keyboard, that thing definitely made me make some typos.. glad yours worked out and hopefully mine will be shipped back to me (WORKING) soon..

do they let you know the status while it's there? and for that matter, do they let you know it's there and when it leaves? I would really like to know that it arrived safe and sound..

im sure that if you email them they'll let u know something... as vaguely as possible tho :P

amazingly they did reply and were somewhat detailed. the really amazing part was they shipped it out already and to top that they're doing Saturday delivery

I think it was probably just something came totally loose and it was an easy fix, or at least I hope so. if it comes back saying there's nothing wrong with it then that'll be my last AW experience ever..

well its good to hear that they actually worked on it right away... btw... is it just on my lappy but on the top right hand corner, where the hinge is, it looks as though it's protected by blue plastic, but mine moves around while the other one on the right doesnt move at all... im pretty sure its just the plastic and not the hinge... should i be worried or am i just being really picky

I don't remember mine well enough to know what you're talking about.. gotta e-mail them about the badge though. I really want that

oooo.... good call, yeah that was part of the "package"... but back to what i was talking about... its right above the left speaker, next to where the power cord plugs into the lappy. its as i said literally a piece of blue plastic that "covers" the left lid hinge

Bautile, The m5750 and superman one I had briefly were both like that in regards to the loose left hinge. Keep us posted on your situation Dman22. Did you guys here anything about the COA and superman badge?
it arrived back as scheduled yesterday and ended up being a bad switch. I figured it was something easy and I left them a detailed list of what exactly was happening. That's probably the only way they shipped it out the same day as they received it..
still no word on the COA and badge. did you get your badge and number bautile?
no word here either regarding the COA... <
post #52 of 71
and you didn't get a number badge either right?? I'm gonna e-mail them now while I'm home and I remember..

have these come out yet? I haven't seen them anywhere.

They aren't for sale anymore. They were a limited edition (allegedly) and they're sold out.

It took them long enough to sell 300 of them. They were available for months on the site. LOL Then a couple of weeks ago, they were blowing out the last of them for $1199. I figured that line would have sold out long ago.

so my COA finally arrived today, but AW sent it fedex and I wasn't home. the slip says they'll try again tomorrow, but I don't think anyone will be here then either. I hate it when they send something that isn't really important via something that requires a signature. I can see signing for a laptop, that is obvious, but a little box with a piece of paper in it? worthless to anyone but me
worst part is the fedex facility is about 40 miles north of me in traffic hell. it's not even worth going up there to get it..

and they actually came when I was home today

I now know that I am number 274 of 350, so I guess there was a quick run on them at the very end. Thought I'd be much closer to 350...

hah! got the number 270... arrived today... thought i would get some obscure number but i got a nice integer divisible by all sorts of numbers ... just cuz im uber geeky... kind of, here are some facts i found on the net regarding the number 270:

270 is the natural number following 269 and preceding 271.
The alphanumeric sum of NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST is 270
(taken out of context... so it could be something else)

here's the "official" wikipedia entry
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/270_%28number%29

The relative bearing for 'dead left' is 270*...your heading is 0* or 360*...'dead right' is 090* behind you is 180*
