Forgot BIOS Password

Hey Guys,

I set a password request on boot up in the BIOS and I have forgotten the password. I've done some reading but I'm not sure what the best route would be to remove this password. I tried entering the BIOS setup but I also get a password request. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I think that you might be "screwed". Try contacting Sager directly via email (You will need your Serial Number) and ask them if a new BIOS chio will cure the condition.

I tried leaving the battery out overnight with NO luck. Anyone else have any other ideas?

check under the keyboard or in the memory compartment for a switch that should reset it.

SUCCESS!

I found the service manual via some of the information on this forum and located the system battery. It's located in the hard drive compartment under one of the hard drives directly near the BIOS chip. I removed it and left it out for a few hours and put it back in. When the computer booted back up, NO PASS!! WOOOOO. Anyway, if anyone has questions let me know. Pretty straightforward I guess, eh?
